I'm sure many of you didn't care for the new Star Trek trailer, so I re-edited it using footage and music from the old films. Let me know what you think!

  • Using 'Stealing the Enterprise' for the warp jump???

Awesomeness that Neil Patrick Harris would be proud of :D

  • Stealing the Enterprise is the single best music track to ever come out of a Star Trek film. And yes, I believe NPH would approve.

  • Very, very cool edit! Thank you! Sent a serveral shivers up my spine! Jerry Goldsmith and James Horner are amazing!

  • I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • I'm a huge Star Trek fan - but the next generation movies in my humble opinion were terrible - so I was eagerly awaiting the reboot - I'm also eager to see what they do with sequels - sure it wasn't without flaws - but I still loved it - and this was good to - I liked it - bonus points for James Horner's music - never really was a fan of Jerry Goldsmith (I actually hated the star trek fanfare theme by him).

  • Abrams is a hack and Star Trek 11 should be retconned before it creates a generation of Trek fans that are more than willing to sacrifice plot and character development for Micheal Bay-esc action sequences and lens flare.

  • I like Abrams better... its ok. I was never a fan of the first movies anyway. I do know that it turned into a giant action flick and left the humanity on trial theme that was so prevalent of all star treks of the past. For that I gave the movie 3 1/2 stars for not even trying to get close to the franchise theme.

  • Yes, as you said, this is clearly a matter of taste, or lack thereof.

  • I can see The Motion Picture score by Goldsmith ON A WHOLE is better than any of Horner's work, but Stealing the Enterprise is the best single track. The next closest would be The Enterprise by Goldsmith.

Why would you even think to include TNG film scores? They were all mediocre.

I'm going to pretend you didn't mention Giacchino's score. I couldn't believe such a great composer turned out such rubbish.

  • Oh? And what would you say then?

  • fucking treky!

  • Hell Yeah!!!

  • nerdgasm

  • that's better than the real one
