Hey guys! So I'm back with another review video! In this video I'm reviewing the NEW Revlon Colorstay Aqua Mineral Finishing Powder. I also express more opinions about the ORIGINAL Revlon Colorstay Aqua makeup.

Most of you might have seen my INITIAL review of the Original Revlon Colorstay Aqua Makeup, since that video, I have changed some of my opinions. BUT ONE opinion/ claim I still stand by is that it contained way too much shimmer!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1Ljudv1K_w

CORRECTION: If you look at the Revlon website, it says BOTH products have an SPF 13. On my bottle (oyster white lid), there is no label indicating any SPF...Very werid but I'll go with the Website. On the Original Aqua makeup (black lid), SPF13 was labeled on it.

Products Mentioned:
Revlon Colorstay Aqua Mineral Finishing Powder in Light/ Medium [LOVE]
Revlon Colorstay Aqua Mineral Makeup Light/ Medium [HATE]

  • Hi there.A little shimmer is always very complimentary in makeup. Not everyone wants a complete matte finish.Besides how do you expect to have,a glowing, flawless makeup finish without some type of shimmer.I agree that sometimes products do contain large amount of shimmer that is highly not recommended for oily skin persons mostly. But a little(moderate) shimmer goes a long way.I personally love my make look to be modest and with modest application of shimmer products.Moderation is the key.

  • @Electra709 I understand what your saying. But I never said EVERYONE wanted a complete matte finish. I believe that using a makeup mist can give a glowy affect to makeup; shimmer isn't the only option. Also there are many full coverage foundations that provide a flawless finish without shimmer.

  • revlon's website says the Revlon Colorstay Aqua Mineral Finishing Powder has spf 13, just so you know. :)

  • @bashduh you're right! the website does say that! That is so weird because on my bottle it doesn't say it has SPF.

  • i like shimmer powder..... :)

  • it's a powder right?

  • Great tutorial!

  • Yeah I totally agree..... the one with the black lid has wayyyy too much shimmer! I don't blame you at all for returning it because I would've done the same!

  • When I first got my colorstay aqua, it was WAY to dark. I gave the brand another try and got a shade perfect for my skintone and now I use the darker one as a contour/bronzer and it works perfectly! Plus it lasts me a really long time too! I'm so glad that i gave it another chance. :)

  • That shimmer is crazyyyyy!!! I can perfectly understand why u didn't like it

  • Haha! Love the hello kitty bag in the background! Kandee Johnson has the same one! :P

P.S. Holy..you weren't exaggerating when you said there too much shimmer. Dang, that's like major glitter ball!

  • I love revlon, we have a love hate relationship. Sometimes I look smashing and sometimes I look like a hot mess!
