Hey Wizards. Explain to me how this looks infinite times better than any PT coverage you have done in the past 10 years, yet it was recorded on a potato.

lol @ the judge untapping the mishra's

@monkiflip15 Without sleeves the amount of force you have to put behind bending the cards to shuffle is much higher. is why a lot of old cards have slight bends if you look closely.
-
was balance restricted in type II then?

"Correct me if I'm wrong. His strategy is to pound him with creatures..."

Alica, as I understood it, players didn't have to buy "clean copies" of cards.
For instance, in the "Road to Worlds" VHS that covered the 1998 US Nats (Which if you have a copy I would love to see on youtube btw. It came with the 1998 World Championship decks) Matt Linde can be seen playing plains with "White Knight" written on it. He then searched a pile of cards that was set aside to find a copy of white kinght to use in play.
i like the "no sleeves" approach. Getting back to basics!

But they can't due to the policies current set in place by the tyrannical DCI. Because what they had enforced was a clean card policy which was meant to deter cheating. You could check the 2005 World Coverage where the Akira match had to be paused for a bit due to his opposition running dirty Persecute copies in his deck from the sides.
The only place for unsleeved matches now are only drafts and that is all.

I have such a hard time watching the old tournaments just because they didn't use sleeves back then :(

I know its hard to swallow. Even during the times when Wizards used to force players to buy a clean copy of their deck to play for a Championship title. Its a good thing that they stopped after 2005 due to the amount of people who were upset about forcing players to buy clean sets for a title.
