hey im looking for a microphone useed for the hip-hop/rap genre, that i can use on my macbook to record with. i dont know much about the prices/bang for your buck but i guess i want a microphone in the 100-250 price range, and im hoping to buy a mic with studio quality. please message, comment, or contact me back with advice thank you!

@AnthonyDeldeo I'm afraid that I can't give you much advice. All I did was look online to see what reviewers thought were the best, then searched on YouTube for a specific mic to see if it sounded as good as I wanted it to be (I imagine that this is what you've already been doing). I also wanted a USB connection because it's simple for my vlogging needs. I would say that the Samson C01U is a good quality mic if you want to keep it at the bottom end of your budget. I hope this helps. :)

@djemba2010 I'm afraid I don't know London very so I can't tell you where you can buy this mic in London, if you can buy it in stores at all. I ordered mine from Amazon.

cuz i just ordered the samon co1u and I dont want the sound to be low :/

@MissLina7 If you mean the SoftPre software then you no longer need it, it should work fine with most modern OS. According to Samson's website it's been discontinued. You can do a Google search for "Samson softpre download" to find out more.
