Experience Change! was the motto of the EAHAE's Fifth Annual Conference.

The fifth annual conference of the European Association for Horse Assisted Education (EAHAE) took place on the Klein Nienhagen Estate near the Baltic sea resorts of Heiligendamm, Kühlungsborn and Rerik, from September 11-13, 2009. The hosts were Gerhard and Karin Krebs & team, from G & K HorseDream GmbH, the pioneers of horse assisted further education, who moved to the Baltic sea in October 2008.

The organizers welcomed 78 trainers and seminar providers who are interested in, or already working with horses in management training in the field of human resources and personal development. The majority of those came from Germany, where approximately 40% of the EAHAE members originate. Other participants came from Europe, Australia and Brazil.

The EAHAE was founded in 2004 and now claims over 200 members worldwide. It is a non-profit platform for information, communication, education and certification as well as for research and publications.

Since the last EAHAE conference held in Poland 2008, the organization has taken a big step forward in realising its vision. This can be seen by the growing list of large, middle-sized and small companies that have taken part in horse assisted seminars in various countries around the globe. It is also shown by the increase in the various scientific writings on diverse topics concerning the content of horse assisted seminars.

Horse assisted trainings run by qualified members of EAHAE are based on a values and emotional learning concept that enables experiential and self-determined learning in Leading and Communication. Among other things, it is about building trust, believing in yourself and others, commanding respect and respecting others, recognizing and reaching goals, consciously approaching barriers and overcoming them, overcoming fears and asserting oneself while at the same time working carefully with power.

Detailed information concerning the conference and the HorseDream Concept can be found on the Internet under www.eahae.org and www.horsedream.de.
