Here's a brief interview with Ron Paul in 1988 when he ran for president on the Libertarian ticket. Whatever you think of his opinions, the man is consistent (save for his change of heart regarding the death penalty -- a good change, methinks). Pay particular attention to his take on the Soviet Union. He was proven right on that one.

Wow. This was true level journalism. Even though you could tell the interviewer thought Ron's ideas were a bit off, he stuck to the real issues during that period of time & didn't resort to a bunch of petty issues of he/said she/said.

he foresaw every problem that we have today, he told the world what was going to happen if we didn't stop it. now we are paying the price for big business backed government.

So Ron Paul has stood for the same ideas for decades, the government has not changed in decades, and the same objections to his arguments have been presented for decades, even though the current system has not worked for decades.
