In the fall of 1971, a man wearing a dark suit and black tie boarded and hijacked a Northwest plane. He demanded a cash ransom of $200,000 (worth roughly $1 million in today's currency) and parachutes. He threatened to blow the plane and its passengers up with a suitcase bomb if his demands were not met. After the passengers were released, the hijacker demanded the flight crew fly the plane over some of the most remote forests of the Pacific Northwest. He gathered the ransom, strapped on the parachutes, and was never seen again. The case of D.B. Cooper remains one the nation's most infamous unsolved cases and led to one of the nation's largest manhunts, spanning four decades.
Now with SKYJACK journalist Geoffrey Gray delves into this unsolved mystery, uncovering new leads in the famous case. With explosive new information and exclusive access to FBI files and forensic evidence, SKYJACK reopens one of the great cold cases of the twentieth century.

@EstelleVEdwards What did you expect going into this book? That they would actually uncover who he was?

This book starts off with a great perspective. However, I feel that the author was lazy. The ending leaves one the impression that the book is unfinished. After building up all of the reader's excitement and hopes, the ending can't even be classified as 'anti-climactic'. If you can get this book through your interlibrary loans, do so. You might feel ripped off if you buy it and then read it. I felt ripped off by the ending and I didn't even spend money!
