"Fundamental truths about evolution have so far eluded us all, and that uncritical acceptance of Darwinism may be counterproductive as well as expedient. Far from ignoring or ridiculing the ground-swell of opposition to Darwinism that is growing, for example, in the United States, we should welcome it as an opprotunity to reexamine our sacred cow more closely." *B. Storehouse, "Introduction," in *Michael Pitman, Adam and Evolution (1984), p. 12.

"How can one confidently assert that one mechanism rather than another was at the origin of the creation of the plans of [evolutionary] organization, if ones relies entirely upon the imagination to find a solution? Our ignorance is so great that we can not even assign with any accuracy an ancestral stock to the phyla Protozoa, Arthropoda, Mollusca and Vertebrata...From the almost total absence of fossil evidence relative to the origins of the phyla, it follows that an explanation of the mechanism in the creative evolution of the fundamental plans is heavily burdened with hypotheses. This should appear as an epigraph* to every book on evolution." *Pierre P. Grasse, Evolution of Living Organisms (1977), p. 178. [*epigraph - a quotation set at the beginning of a literary work.]

Why was Darwin's Origin of Species accepted so enthusiastically by theologians, scientists, and philosophers? How has science come to be dominated by materialism and naturalism? Charles Darwin has been lionized as the father of evolutionism, but deist and atheist philosophers had been setting the stage for rejecting God as Creator for many years before his book appeared. The ideas of Darwin and his predecessors continue to affect our thinking today, with huge consequences for our society. This presentation will trace some of the ideas leading to Darwin's evolutionary thought and beyond, and how they've affected our culture.

We apologize that we remain unable to provide the videos from the 2005 Seattle Creation Conference for viewing on the web or purchase. The videographer who recorded the seminars has thus far failed to supply us with the footage in accordance with our written agreement.

It has now been more than 2 years since Jauhn Brasseur from the The Creation Network recorded our conference, and no explanation has yet been given for the extremely excessive delay. We are attempting to keep this matter out of the courts. Please help us obtain the footage from our conference by contacting The Creation Network and hold them accountable to their promise.

  • @Strefanasha There is no political solution to the world's problems.

  • religion in the public place is only an exercise in hypocrisy. I am a convinced christian, a young earth creationist, and as such i object to the taking of God's name in vain as appears in religion in the public place.

so do not think that young earth creationism equates with right wing agenda, for they do not

  • @BereanBeacon1 .... but clay will?

  • @konohanominato Primates won't be hell bound.

  • I'd rather be related to a primate then to clay XD

  • Science is naturalistic because science must be testable. The supernatural is just a term to describe our ignorance. If we understand something it is natural, if we don't understand it, we call it supernatural. But throughout the history of science, the supernatural has always been turning into the natural. Thunder used to be supernatural.

  • The problem for the theist religions is that The Modern Scientific Theory of Evolution proves that a human Adam & Eve as those described in the bible could not have existed. That means they could not have committed original sin so no need for god to send his son etc.

This is most damaging from which ever way you look at it! No Prince of Denmark, NO "Hamlet".

The theists religion would not give a fig for Evolution if they could come up with a counter argument. As it stands the game is up!

  • Yes you are.

  • Wow! You really miss the point, don't you? You could use survival of the fittest, like killing old people b/c they take up valuable resource. That's your religion. <<

If that was true and it isnt it would have no effect on what is true. For example fire can burn people and thats bad. That is no argument for that fire is cold is it?

  • boooooooooooooring!
