naomiglaser1, in addition to your comment, the collar is WAY TOO wide. however, the other two collars are much better! she actually is correct- the hoop is for every woman- there is evidence (from autopsies from arsenal accidents) that working women also wore hoops. however the daughter is wearing a hoop too wide for her working dress- it would be a more appropriate size for a nice dress

Ahhh that girl in the middle is so young, yet so pretty with those hoops and her hair braided in that 1860s style! She would look great sitting down pooling her skirt while reading a book or something! XD
