Last moments of King Uther Pendragon. Before his death, he stabs Excalibur to the stone. Very dramatic...

  • I will never Ever do That again!

  • Great movie but what a terrible head piece they make Merlin wear!!

  • I would love to find a replica of the sword from this movie all the other ones look like shit.

  • Masterpiece is not enough to describe this movie.

  • @back2steel2 they don't make them like this anymore; and even they could, they wouldn't...

  • i'm a old grumpy git of 46 years old and it is joy for me to know there are still many people out there with great taste in movies !

young people .............quit watching jason statham crap and watch CLASS like excalibur !

  • merlin is a wizard of the woods, the wood is his domain, he sees all and hears all in it, therefore he would of known there was an ambush in that route, and he knew the king was following him...yet he took that route, in essence, merlin knowingly serves as a lure in the king's death, it is confirm when he refuses to help the king when luther asked him for help, he just walks away, when the king puts excalibur in a rock, followed by his last words, it confirmed merlin's opinion,

    he's selfish...

  • MERLIN!!! CALL YOHr DRAGON! To weave a mist...to hide us...

  • @SonnyTheWhiteDwarf elementry, he was the strongest. Merlin erroneously used strength to gauge a good king. Second time he chose nobility mixed with charity and purity by picking Arthur.

  • @diddymuck excellent question! one assumes the magical sword is durable enough to withstand such treatment. Question really is how did Uther get strong enough to push it into a granite boulder? My personal theory is that Merlin took pity and cast a spell before his candidate bit the biscuit.
