Dodging trainers can be especially tricky on sea routes, since they tend to swim all over the place, whereas land trainers usually stay in one spot. Nonetheless, I manage to avoid them all, except for one very, very cheap encounter. One millisecond she's off-screen, the next one she wants a fight. Oh well, a perfect run would've been too hard to believe.

I take advantage of the constant random battles to talk about how Zoroark is shaping up. Shamefully, even though we now know the basics of Illusion, it's all about the small details, especially how long is the illusion kept up. I guess we really will have to wait until the game's out, huh? I also get in a note about Reshiram's and Zekrom's typings and abilities, though I didn't get to say nearly everything I wanted to say, because I was too busy visiting Pacifidlog.

Speaking of which, it seems to be a useless town, but when you're doing the Pacifidlog-Slateport run over and over to fight every trainer, you'll be glad you have somewhere to fly to that's not friggin' Mossdeep. Trust me, I'll be flying back to Pacifidlog all the freaking time when I do that segment for real (as opposed to trying to reach the Regi cave).

  • Whoa whoa whoa, thanks you slowflake for telling us about this new ability, but have an ability like that, wouldn't that just be like another Ditto or another Mew? Transforming and deciving!!!

  • No, because Zoroark only changes its appearance. It keeps its typing, and presumably its stats and moves as well.

  • I'm personally waiting for someone to stick Zoroark into the second slot and switch into Zoroark. It'll be priceless. Also thinking more on how this ability works, wouldn't it make sense to keep Zoroark as a lead?

  • Probably not, because the moment the illusion is broken you're giving away one of your teammates for free. Besides, Zoroark might not have what it takes to be a good lead anyway. It depends on the stats and movepool, but a slow, frail Pokémon without the likes of Stealth Rock or Taunt would be doomed as a lead, illusion or not.

  • Maybe there using groudon n kyogre as hints for Ruby n Sapphire, or emerald remake(s)

  • You're reading into this WAY too much. Palkia got along great with Kyogre as well, so it's not even a first. It's just a coincidence... besides, I don't think they're stupid enough to remake a GBA game on the DS. They'll probably wait for gen 6 on the 3DS.
