They were the people through whom He made His covenant with the world, world-not World. Read Romans 9-11. It is specifically about the Jews and Gentiles. The Messiah came to the Jews first, and His ministry was primarily for them. His disciples' ministry is to the rest of the world. *Gentile speaking*

@elijahsfire As a Christian, who happens to be Jewish and from a Conservadox background (I was almost Orthodox except I had no issue with women on the bimah, nor as rabbinical/cantorial staff, or being counted in the minyan, thus I was a member of a traditional, egaleterrian Conservative Synagogue), I will boldly proclaim this, JESUS IS LORD, MY PEOPLE HAVE NO OTHER KING! WE HAVE NO OTHER GOD EXCEPT, FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT, THE TRIUNE (ECHAD) GOD! I truly agree with you elijahsfire.

I love seing the Magen David (sheild of David), and the cross, for me Christ is what Hebrews 12 teaches 'the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of God's throne' (HCSB), He is the perfecter of my Faith. I came out of Orthodox Judaism, when I was saved Mosaic Fellowship Calgary (part of the Southern Baptist Messianic Fellowship), It is quite fighting to have a cross with the Star of David
