My Chemical Romance - Helena Acoustic Cover by Pat Noonan

After school one (back in the) day I caught the music video for Helena by My Chemical Romance and I was like, "whaaaaaaa was that?!" I had heard I'm Not Okay and I liked it but it was definitely Helena that pushed me over the line to becoming a big MCR fan. Fast forward to 2010, now I hear we're getting a new album from Gerard Way & Co. and instantly decided I'd cover an old favorite of mine to commemorate the occasion. Which finally brings us to now: after attempting to rotoscope all 1253 frames of the video (I got all the way to 53 and realized I wouldn't finish until their next NEXT album comes out haha) and trying my best to not make it too obvious that I had lost all the feeling in my fingers/nose/ears cause it was so damn cold when I attempted to film this, I now present to you my acoustic version of Helena, I hope you like it and even if you don't I hope it doesn't stop you from checking out Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys (make it happen) Thanks for checkin it out!

@evilburrito69 I'm sorry the lip syncing ruined the song for you, I definitely would've rather spent a few thousand hours tracing over each frame of the original video like I had planned to, but unfortunately I was a few thousand hours short. My main objective when reshooting the video (what you see here) was to show the guitar playing for anyone wanting to learn the guitar parts with the tabs. But that shouldn't take the "point out of playing acoustically" My point was to play a song I love.

@xiaoti606 My guess is the many layers of vocals at parts of this may have been what reminded you of Hide And Seek, which is a ridiculously good song btw. As for a girlfriend, I'm single for now but I'd love to find the right girl one of these days.
