Fortunately Greece is one of the last countries which demonstrates against the establishment system. Even if it's a wrong way to destroy a capital city. I'm against of that but someone have to express the opinion that we are not sheeps and we will not be driven at the slaughter bloodless

@SuperBafBaf This year a teenanger was also killed... A bomb went off in his hands... There was NO demonstrations, whatsoever..! And it makes me go mad...
I am about his age....
I don't have to search in garbage in order to eat of course...
But does it make my life more valuable than his???
RIP boy.
You've survived a war just to die in "civilized" Athens...! :(

Visit Athens again this summer.
It was really bad that you happened to be there in December 2009. The situation must have been really scary, especially for a stranger. I bet you felt afraid.
However, if I were you I would feel lucky too, because you learned that Greece is not only a beautiful country, but a country with social problems, too.
Despite that, you should feel free to visit it again, now that the media have let it go...

DESTROY CAPITALISM !

That's like the smallest demonstration I've ever seen.
you really chose the best time of the year to visit Greece...

You have to realise that the demonstrations taking place all over Greece, are a reflex answer to the situation people are experiencing here. Corrupted gonverments, police brutality, no jobs etc.
There is a kind of revolution taking place here.
The revolution will not be televised.
A lot of people are in fear. They fear the police. Otherwise, many more (peacefull) people would go out in the streets to protest.
The killing of a teenager last year was the spark to flame the people's fire.
