Pro lifers (or whatever) consider when the 2 gametes (haploid cell; two independent cells; sperm and egg) meet to create a zygote (diploid cell, single cell from 2 haploids) it is the beginning of human life (at fertilization).

However, your example of using gamete cells (the disposal of both the unfertilized egg-menstruation and the wandering soldiers in your sock- sperm) to counter Octocrazypantsmoms argument for the right to life of a zygote, is not a biologically sound comparison.
