Wow, what a completely ignorant and inaccurate portrayal of CO2 refrigeration. I'm guessing someone with an entrenched interest in DX systems posted this. 4 times the energy! 4 times the cost! Get real.

There are some inaccuracies, but the general point is made and is true, CO2 in fridges is not anywhere near being environmentally friendly as people (especially supermarkets) like to think.
-
At last, a concise and informative explanation of CO2 refrigeration

@goosie69 WTF???
-
Funniest thing i have seen for ages!
-
Duh, totally true humour or have you had a lobotomy?
I suppose you can enlighten us all on the concept of CO2 in Carbonated drinks as well?
-
@goosie69 this is very funny but factually incorrect, for years you must have been just as factually incorrect as these cute little guys.
-
How funny is that, and there was me thinking we had saved the planet! ;-)

Very funny, but not accurate on the energy side (if you get it right!)
Sorry elliswyatt but I commission a lot of these things and do the load tests, they use 3 to 4 times the electricity. The claim that they use less is based on the assumption that a 404A pack will lose 30% of its gas per annum and the gwp of this is converted to an energy CO2 equivalent, they take a lot more from the grid
