@figment1988 You're right and that's very frustrating. I remember when I played Continental Circus at the arcade I was so impatient to go in the pit stop to shouting Go Go Go! Maybe other people think i'm weird. This is the one of my favorites arcade game soundtracks.
@DeStCyr true. many of Taito's games in the mid 80s were ostensibly infamous for having their final stages become "points of no continues" like Darius 1 and Exzisus. Operation Wolf, Operation Thunderbolt, and 1990's Space Gun put a twist to it by adding the parameter that if all of the hostages die (either by the enemy or by your accidental doing by killing them) you would not be able to continue.
@DeStCyr that's especially true with the final race in Suzuka (Japan) since it's a "point of no continues", meaning that if you run out of time, you will not be allowed to continue.
