http://www.lourileylive.com | Today marks a major milestone in my journey to living healthy and being fit. I was able to turn up my running and get in three miles. What's more than that is my recovery time afterward was great. Usually, I would have ran to the shower, then fell into bed. Instead, I went right into business mode and attended a symposium that lasted another 3 hours. I felt just fine! I wasn't sleepy or tired. The only ill effect was my body had not cooled down completely, so my sweat meter was a mess. Thank goodness I learned years ago to keep a few extra hand towels in the car. I solved that problem quickly until my body had a chance to cool off. It's funny because a friend of mine had observed that I didn't seem to take as many naps as I did when I started out. It's small things like this that serve as signs of greater things to come! Stay tuned!

Hey louriley,
I'm from San Diego, California. I too run 3 miles twice a week (been running at this pace for over 3 weeks now). I started running about 17 weeks ago with my brother at a "1 mile level" and we worked our way up "slowly" since then. I can understand exactly what you are saying in this video. It is all about TELLING YOUR MIND TO KEEP PUSHING AND RELAX. But what I also have found VERY EFFECTIVE is that if you SLOW YOUR BREATHING constantly throughout your run, you will last longer.
