i love this song though i don't understand what it says

i used to listen to this as a kid and my grandmother loved this before she passed away because her best friend was one of the jews in greece that were taken away from their hourse to the holocaust by the nazi germans that invaded greece in the 40's.

She never saw her best friend again and this song really made her to remember her again.

what a beautiful song and video, makes me feel happy listening to this, and nostalgic, even though I was born long after this song, but I remember listening to this already as a kid when I became a eurovision fan in the early 2000s and I loved this song back then already
