i had to get a startech express card while using win 7 for my mac with snow leopard no issues but with my sony vaion i had alot of poping sound from my mic the card fixed the problem, keyword you need to use texas instrument chipset

m-audio product sucks...i just threw my m-audio solo away cause it crashes after using it for one or two hours and it just out of control

that is the worst audio interface ever imo. mine has caused me problems too...they are horrendous.

I put the driver in for my solo and turn the computer on and nothing it doesnt even show up but the interface works and the driver works put it together broken crap I got a dell 1501 with vista 2gb ram 120gb hardrive

It's been 3 years and my M-Audio Firewire Solo has been just sitting there not getting any use. Even with drivers, this audio interface is incredibly buggy. Go for Apogee Duet instead.
