These are my DIY Visaton B200 speakers similar to the Omega A8's in size. Track is good old New Zealand's 'Pitch Black' neon stereo. Amp in Dayens Ampino and CD player Triode Corp CD4SE. Construction pic's found here. http://www.audioenz.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=9101
it's an aperiodic cabinet, yes?

@chazdrumzalot Hi no passive radiator design of my own. Not soft like vintage Kef but very hard, urathane and ply + unloaded vent. Works extremely well. Thanks James.

@chazdrumzalot Sorry, just realized that these rear panels are my earlier aperiodic experiment. They are now as below:) Sorry for the confusion.

@j1a9m7e2s cool, thanks. So you use passive radiators now? Isn't the Qts a little high for such a configuration?

@chazdrumzalot Hi, no it work very well, better than aperiodic. No boom, just tight controlled bottom end with all the tonal colours. When I say passive radiator don't think of it as a suspended passive cone, it's closer to the thin wall cab of a Spendor or LS3a, ie it is a controlled resonating thin wall (15mm). I visualize it as a type of passive radiator because it adds in a controlled manner to the lower octaves.

@chazdrumzalot continued from above......The advantage of this over an aperiodic set up is more fine inner detail at low late night listening levels whist maintaining a solid bottom end.
