Boy, it's been awhile since I actually uploaded something, huh?

Well, here's a clip of a famous Indy scene. Harrison Ford was actually suffering from dysentery and prompted to just, "shoot the sucker" and the fight scene was rightly scrapped for one the most popular gags ever.

  • Here's the REAL story behind this scene:

The crew had been filming near Tunisia and everyone was sick from heat and disease. Harrison Ford had a torn ligament and was sick from dysentery (you can see it in his face!) He didn't have the energy to film the planned elaborate fight scene with the swordsman, so he told Speilberg "Let's just shoot the fucker!"

So they did- and a classic scene was born.

  • To quote Heavy Weapons Guy....

"I have yet to meet one that can outsmart bullet!"

  • He WOULDVE won had he not flung his sword around like a retard.....

  • 9 people brought a sword to a gunfight.

  • Back when Indy was a bad ass and just shot bastards in cold blood and he was right to do so!

  • @utube9000 You can see dysentery in the face? I was under the impression it was a case of severe diarrhea which, as any kid who ate soap would know, hits the other end.

  • I saw this movie in the theater as a kid and remember everybody laughed so hard at this scene

  • @utube9000 you're very close. From what ive heard it was a crew member that suggested it. But pretty much the same thing.

  • Tu Polacy przejmujemy ten film. Internet dla Polaków :)

  • Hahahaha best scene EVER!! XD

  • Art from adversity. :p

  • Fun fact: Originly, George Lucas was originally going to have Indy defeat the swordsman by using his whip disarm him. But then Harrison Ford turned to Lucas and said "Why doesn't he just shoot the sonavabitch." And history was made.
