That sound's outstanding! I'm happy to see that work as well as it did because I got a couple of Pro 37s for hi-hats, but I've always wondered how to use one or two mics alone for instances when the drummer doesn't want stands and clips cluttering up the kit. I'll try a setup like that, but I might see if I can put a Beta 52 in the kick drum without creating phase problems, seeing as how that kick's sound is going off in a different direction. Thanks for the demo. :)

@produccionesmiranejo yeah. i guesso huh

It's actually true though, well, at least for vocals. A big condenser microphone will create more feedback than a dynamic

@produccionesmiranejo theyll say anything to get you to buy more shit bro

condenser mics are necessary for live use but that's for specific things like hi hats.

@AphoticAgony haha yup...and in this case, it works really well for me as it picks up the sound of my whole kit quite nicely.

Really impressive sound!!! Where was the microphone positioned for that recording? Is that the stand for it I see behind the hi hat there?

@scambies haha yup that's the mic stand!...i positioned the mic above the whole kit in the middle.
