The band of redness in the river is from all the salmon moving upstream. Some find their way into rivulets with a gravel bed. The females turn sideways and flap their tails to make an indentation in the gravel bed. They lay their eggs there then go upstream and do it again until they run out of eggs or die of exhaustion. A male will stay alongside a female and protects her and keepings other males away. The males tend to be a little bigger than the females, and have the hump on their backs and have the hooked mouth. Sometimes the females compete to see who will get that spot to lay their eggs.

It's sad and beautiful to watch! Sobering!
It impacted my emotions in a way that I do not have words for ... yet!
Kind of made me think about how humanity is... conditioned to believe in struggle and strife! In this dog eat dog world. In wars, poverty, dis-ease and separation.

In answer to this, I hold the vision of the birth of a new humanity, a new world, and the healing of Mother Earth.

In Loving Service and humble dedication, I hold the vision of Heaven on Earth!

Amen!
