Yeah the bolts killed it. Otherwise it didn't look too bad 3M tape 4010 will do the trick.

fill the gaps with clear bathroom sealant and red food colouring or any food colouring that will match

yeah think you should of glued or used velcro and avoid the bulky screws. great video we live and learn.

Where was this when used the rotary to cut the whole pattern used about a 20 wheels . for what I spent on cutting wheels i could have bought a jig saw. Then after cutting my hole i found out the 250 mm fan was not what I wanted . Now I could post a tutoral what I did to plug the hole.good job guys

Yeah I prefer a jig saw to rotary tool on appropriate cuts. You do end up eating a bunch of wheels for anything substantial. Cool, post up ur tutorial, I'd love to see it!

The bolts make it look kinda weird tho guys,
