This is a video of me unboxing and reviewing a Bachmann BR Blue Class 47 Diesel Locomotive in OO gauge. This is a limited edition model of 47408 named "Finsbury Park" that was produced for the Deltic Preservation Society and the numbered certificate that came with this model is 125 of 512 produced. I bought this model from Class56Productions last week as I am steadily building up a nice fleet of BR Blue locomotives. The model has been fitted with a detailed bufferbeam at one end and also it has its etched nameplates fitted to the sides which really improves the look of the model. The Class 47 from Bachmann is a great model and I would recommend one to any modern image modeller that uses OO gauge.
My Rating: 9/10

Bachmann needs to re tool the original Class 47 (unrefurb) due to the rivets on cab window surrounds. Drivers Cab door window height, incorrect detail on right hand side of bogies & incorrect fuel gauge placement on tanks..... plus other small details.... They seem to have corrected some of the above with the refurbished later models with the 21pinc dcc however have the ugly headlight... (these in my belief spoilt the look of all british diesals)

very thorough and informative review, enjoyed watching! Just minor niggle was the focusing, would have made it even better if the camera had focused on details.

@tjf4375: Thanks and sorry about that, the camera I was using for this video was a Digital Camera, not ideal for review videos but I have recently upgraded to High Definition on my newer uploads which is a big step up from normal video filming as the new camera can pick up the finer detailling better.

Excellent review. I am thinking of getting a Bachmann 47, either Intercity 47612 Titan or NSE 47573 London Standard.

@Mytimekid: Thanks, As for the Class 47's. I am seeking both 47612 and also I would love an NSE one as well as rode one with MkII's to Lincoln back in 1991 when BR was still using Class 101's around here.

@itgamer100: The ViTrains one looks good and I am thinking of getting a ViTrains chassis to repower my Lima 47 which I have recently reviewed in a newer video I uploaded today.
