Would you guys recommend keeping it away from a computer? Magnetic fields and all, but I'm not too sure cause I don't know my science onions.

45 or 50! i got it for 7 pounds 2010 xmas

my problem is that where I have to keep doesn't get a lot of light, so it's always in power saver mode and won't float :/ they should have made that feature optional...
-
my brother got one of these yesterday and we managed to get it floating but we can't find the instructions or know what the TWO bulbs at the top do...help?

Just got mine today... it floated for ages.. and i even nudged it to spin round.. woz ace.... but now it aint floating.. think i need stronger batteries or an adapter :-)

@Butterflypants that's exactly the problem that I am having! are you suposed to remove the screw at the bottom of the tardis or keep it?
-
I paid $40 for mine at Dragon*Con just last month. I love it, but mine seems to vibrate up and down sometimes. Usually, if it doesn't vibrate, it will not stay up very long. I'm not sure why that is.

Wow, $50? That's crazy - I know this video is from last year, but I just bought one in the UK for £9.99 from a Gadget shop?! What's the crack there!
Also - mine has this weird thing where if it's floating and I turn off the main light to my room - it loses it's magnetic field and falls. :/ T.A.R.D.I.S' don't like the dark apparently!
What happens if the magnets are too strong?
Mine has battery's in it, but it only sticks to the top, and doesn't spin very well :/

So can you switch it on and off when the batteries are in the model to save life?

@craigjaggs Sort of, as long as the tardis is floating you are consuming battery power. Simply removing the tardis from the magnetic field will "switch" it off. There is no physical switch.
