you guys are talking about ii V s... and really if you think about it. Even though when we write the music and dissect it, yes there is a lot of ii V ones... in the classical muscians eyes they don't see the in the ii or in that V that it's MANY keys not just a 2-5... that's the beauty of jazz.. a C major can be so many things.. it's just the start!

Its good to know theory and apply it to your playing like i do and many other jazz players, but jazz is about be in the moment and if your thinking which key are you gonna modulate and all this theory,then your really not playing jazz,jazz comes from the heart
