Don't be outright hating todays music. Whenever I hear "its not like the old days" I think of the parents in the 50's saying of Elvis "its not like the old days with Irving Berlin", move to parents the sixties of saying of Zeppelin and the Beatles "its not like the old days with Elvis", move to the 70's, 80's 90's and so forth. You get the picture. The moment you say "Music is not like the old days" is the day you refuse to have an open mind.

im 19 and i love the greatful dead, over any other band, the history, the warlocks, the acid test, woodstock!!, like damn they rocked all that shit, and by the way, my parents dont hate the music, but they dont love it, i found it on my own, and its mos deff my favourite band

What's weird for me is I'm 23 and my mom hate the Dead. I think she just associates them with drugs and refused to ever give the music a fair shake.
