http://thumpandwhip.com. President Obama finally makes his case. While the obstructionist right wing retreats again and again to their comfortable wingnut media outlets, calling the package essentially empty and useless, Obama calls them to reality. "The American people have rendered their judgment. And now it is time to move forward, not back. Now is the time for action." He's right. Thanks to 'Crooks and Liars' for the original clip...

  • OK whacky Ann. First, the total bill is less than your $1,000,000,000,000. Second, trimming it wouldn't collapse anything because it doesn't even exist. Third, god knows what 'retreat' you're talking about. Fourth, I checked the CBO's recent publications and releases, but why do I bother?

  • $3,270,000,000,000

  • Just passed, you math dunces: $787,000,000,000.

"Bill's not less than a trillion"--try 79% of a trillion whacky Ann. aeuiono, you are just a sorry loon: that's the ten(!) year CBO's outlay-only projection, not the 'cost'. Doesn't take into account the piles of returning revenues generated by the improving economy. When you have a job, you have income, fool, and a chunk of that returns to the government. Sheesh.

  • "Spending more money is not change... Roads do not help economic growth.."

Wtf? Putting money into american projects, where americans get employed, doing the work, is 'growth.' Building roads is good situational economic policy as far as almost every economist is concerned, so where does this baseless argument come from? You'd rather turn all your tax dollars into bullets and bombs and blow it to smithereens? Give it to Halliburton, headqurters: Dubai? Multi-national oil companies?

  • WOW! Thats going to cost a lot of change, oh yeah I almost forgot that CHANGE is what Obama promised his Obamamanics.

  • Thanks alot for uploading this tmabomb! I didn't catch this on the news today, but God Damn Mr. President, It's about time you spoke out to these right-wing losers. There's only so much that you can do to get help from republicans, but after having cocktail drinks and hosting a superbowl party and still no help from them, it's time to say "Fuck You Right-Wing Obstructionists"!!! The time for talk is OVER! The American people need help NOW!

  • The difference is that Bush and the Republicans spent money wrecking the country and the economy and Obama and the Democrats are spending money to fix it.

  • lol

  • I'm not a millionaire. I'm under 30, meaning I'm going to be around when it's necessary to pay for the massive spending of Pres. Obama. In 20 months,Obama has exceeded the spending level that took Pres. Bush 8 years to accumulate ($3 trillion, if you're keeping score, brother).

Bush's deficit spending averaged 3.2% of GDP, while Obama projects 4.2% for himself.

Only 2 options: either taxes will be raised, or massive inflation will be needed. Either way, purchasing power is reduced for all.

  • you're an idiot! Or a millionaire! If you are millionaire, pardon me, if you're not, Obama LOWERED your taxes you stupid moron! Sheesh, keep believing what Fox News tells you and you will turn into a completely unthinking robotic version of the moron you already are!

  • Well at 10.2% uemployment and no end in sight, I guess the stim bill is a failure. But it is also a slush fund to purchase vote from senators for other bills.

  • Fantastic; all tha tmoney is pouring in from all those new jobs. Obviously, Obama knows what he is doing.

  • hmmm i have seen no bailout all you supporters are idiots. i bet you haven't gotten any bailout either. all this money is going to all these pencil pushers that are crying about how much money they are losing but what about the people that are losing their houses becasue OBAMA gave them their bailout yea right . you fucking democrats are fucking stupid

  • The "piles of returning revenue generated by the improving economy", do you have a figure for that? A reliable figure? What models are you using? How many jobs will be made? How many laid-off accountants are going to start digging a ditch? Besides, these are government jobs, any tax revenues created by the jobs are offset by taxpayers having to pay the new salaries.
