Range Resources hydraulically fractured a Barnett Shale gas well in Parker County, Texas. Shortly after that methane was found in nearby water wells. For more information see: http://bit.ly/erNGBn

An EPA study found thermogenic gas in the water well that matches the fingerprint of the gas in the Range Resources recently fracked well.

The vent was placed when the water well was drilled?

I'm not sure. I think most water wells have vents, maybe all. But the water well driller said there was no methane in the water when the well was drilled. The well was good for 5 years then shortly after the gas wells started producing this is what happened. That is according to the EPA order and court documents. No, the vent was placed after the well started fizzing.

This video was produced by attaching the hose to the natural gas vent on the well, not the water line.

The hose is attached to the vent on the well as the guy says in the video. He clearly shows the water coming out of another pipe. Venting this much gas from your water well is a significant problem wouldn't you say? Especially since his water well driller said there was no gas in his water well when it was drilled.

Yes, but that amount of methane shouldn't come out of a water well's vent.

Such as the ones that say ""This demonstration was not done for scientific study but to provide local and national news media a deceptive video, calculated to alarm the public into believing the water was burning," the judge wrote. Loftin also cited evidence that Rich had sought to mislead the EPA.

Sure, they poisoned our drinking water, but on the upside, we're now better protected against imminent zombie attacks. Thank you, fracking!
