Recognize attacks, both forward energy attacks as well as when the opponent appears to collapse but may instead simply be absorbing the energy of the situation and placing you at risk. Come train with us, visit every few months, then open a small school and have our kung fu brothers visit your school to help teach you. We all want to protect and preserve this rare gem of kung fu. Remember, evaluate Wing Chun/Ving Tsun by the details of the science. Yes, it's an art but what sets VT apart is its physics. That's why it is unlike any other karate or kung fu. We can measure, test and prove this physics of applied kung fu.

  • Why do you teach your student to Chuk Kiu (collapse)?

Why do you use a Fei Jang (flying elbow) in Chi Sao?

Why are you not in a position to apply Fan Sau (hand replacement) after your initial attack?

  • @ariellewong1

All great questions & concerns. I presume your are referring to this video. Perhaps like me you are too bored to listen to me speak. The lesson here is what the student will want to do in response to incoming contact. I don't see anywhere he is being taught to collapse. If you watch my striking elbows vids I am not a proponent of elbow use for strikes as it violates the physics of WC. Also hand replacement ability is essential to WC. The focus here is on what HE should do. Thanks.

  • Whats your opinion on using Ngoi Jut Sao vs. your outside advancing hand.

  • @WingChunNinja7

Please make a short video of that jut as I am unfamiliar with the Ngoi terms. ;-)

  • Quick question I thought that forward energy would lead the guy to punch if you collapse? I get the adjustment to the reach around attack but still if some run hands we punch right? Maybe that just for beginners and this video covers a situation that requires higher level kung fu. I'm not sure.

That's the thing, to play at that level of mastery where you can lead what appears to be a collapse and still retain total control of all potential movements. Chances are they can't even run if you have that type of control but if they do, they have to earn it buy positing an explosive energy that you must respond to and while you do they dissapear and run. Not likely though. So yes, they run you crush. Hulk crush. Hulk kill. LOL
