Landover, Maryland, USA - 1984 World Professional Figure Skating Championships, Pairs' Artistic Program - Ludmila and Oleg Protopopov finished in 2nd Place overall. The Protopopovs were the ones who began the Soviet/Russian dominance in Pairs' Figure Skating, as they won the 1964 and 1968 Olympic Gold Medals.
This "amount" of artistry and professionalism is almost unreal!
You can feel the millions of hours they spent and the perfectionism they have to create a miracle like this. Heat off!

Wiping the tears away! That is absolutely stunning. And a romantic pair indeed! I think the tears started coming when Oleg was speaking of Ludmilla. One of my skating friends met him, she's an "older" skater, and he gave her the best advice about working with what you have now, and not looking back. They are inspirational.

I remember seeing this the first time it was telecast. It brought tears to my eyes then and it still does. It's the most beautiful pairs set I've ever seen. They were simply the best ever.

The "Dying Swan" as it was meant to be performed. A treasure!
