jason is not good, jason is the most perfect guitar player ever. you think that guys that can play his songs now are gods and better than jason...newsflash dudes, they are good because of that but to create songs such as altitudes, temple of the absurd or serrana out of NOTHING, that's what puts jason beyond everyone else.

Shawn Lane was 3 times as technically advanced as Jason when he was 16. I don't see what the big deal is with Jason's compositional skills as a guitarist compared to other guitar virtuosos. As an overall composer, he destroys every guitarist ever, but as strictly a guitarist it can easily be argued that there are better out there.

@jimmyleppard6 add this: to write songs like this before the age of 20! Guys like vai, petrucci, gilbert, romeo, etc who are GREAT reached this level of technique and composition when they were well older. When they were 17~18 ,like jason when he wrote this, they were still working hard at perfecting their technique (that is for sure better than all of us still in our 20s trying to get good XD).
