ATTN: (Group has Scientology affiliation) Presented by the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR).

A tale of deception

Psychotropic drugs. Its the story of big money—drugs that fuel a $33 billion psychiatric industry. Without a single cure. The cost in human terms is even greater—these drugs now kill an estimated 42,000 people every year. And the death count keeps rising.

  • These are the people who want cannabis to stay a blackmarket substance that has NEVER caused a death and gives relief to millions of people every day! They cannot make $ from a plant that will grow wild.

  • WARNING!

This "documentary" is propaganda by THE CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY!

The "Citizens Commission on Human Rights" is a FRONT ORGANIZATION OF SCIENTOLOGY.

A quote from CCHR.ORG: "CCHR was co-founded in 1969 by the Church of Scientology"

Why is the Church of Scientologu so down on psychiatrists? Because they believe they can cure any mental problems by joining their cult!

    Please, research it yourself!

  • MindCrimsInc you are the man. one of the people helping in the fight. mahalo

  • And people wonder why we have Loughners running around shooting up people...

  • One also wonders if Dr Peter Duesberg and several other top experts are right about HIV not causing AIDS

  • @venushalley .... You have tunnel-vision.

It's also been proven that a morphine placebo can be just as effective against pain as morphine itself.... you are implying that painkillers, among all other drugs, also don't "work". You obviously didn't get the point when I said that pinpointing the exact chemical and the exact dosage is difficult, which converts into much trial and error, giving the MISCONCEPTION that they are ineffective.

  • @cwistaff The drugs don't work. Why do you need to try several ones if they "work"? Why do they stop "working"? why was it shown placebo is as effective. Case is not closed, not even close to it.

Thinking caused/is caused by chemical reactions... you can alter your mood by the type of music you listen to or by surrounding yourself by certain color... We don't know the exact mechanism. Just because these drugs ALTER the state of your mind does not mean they "work".

  • I agree with the comment below. I wish my sociology prof picked a video that wasnt so ridiculous...i mean, with over the top effects/edits/biases like these, it ends up hurting their point rather than helping it.

  • I can see that this 'doc' is heavily biased and badly lacking any form of objectivity, which IMO makes it less credible, and that's a shame. Very alarmist, heavily edited, too much like some sort of tabloid report. Anyway, here's my advice to anyone worried about their mental state.... Stop watching shit like this on Yt, get yourself a gym membership and visit a dietition. Spend more time with freinds and family (Facebook doesn't count). Go for a swim or a walk. You don't need drugs

  • @spence0324

Most psych disorders aren't known to be lifelong afflictions, especially depression. Mental illness is not a malignancy; spontaneous remission can most definitely occur, or more likely, the disease can be molded into something that is less disruptive with the help of therapist. Just like the body can fight and win against other diseases, it is certainly capable of self-correcting imbalances, however, the consequences of NOT treating it chemically can be devastating.

  • @cwistaff what about people who dont take the/a drug and make progress or remiss. It happens as well.
