Demonstrates using the Scene 1 timeline to control the playback of a MovieClip that is an animation to start, stop, advance one or more frames forward and backward. Actionscript put the instance of a MovieClip in a stopped state when the Movie starts. Uses Flash buttons, MovieClip instance names and Actionscript 3. Useful for the non-programmer to learn to control MovieClips as instances. Complete course and files available at http://www.alonzohosfordusa.com

  • Hard to tell without the actionscript. But the error message indicates you probably have the instance name of the button misspelled or the capitalization does not match in the Actionscript. Names must be carefully checked. If it does not work. Then delete all the actionscript and do it again CAREFULLY.
