Pwnlympics Week 2: TUB and Stem Cells

Ah, The Un amazing Believer. So young, yet, so dumb. In his most recent video, he is arguing about stem cells. As I only have 2 minutes, I will only address a few points:

Tub, you claim that the United States had a ban on stem cell research until the president overturned it. Incorrect, kid. There was only a ban on government funded embryo stem cell research. Adult and animal stem cell research was still active, in fact, the United states was the world leader in stem cell research during the Bush years.

Next, stem cells are not aborted fetuses. They are part of the embryo, which, had you done some research, comes before the fetal stages. Most of the embryos that go into stem cell research are unsuitable for in vitro fertilization, and thus, would be simply thrown out if they do not get used.

Abortion is legal, because if it were not, the amount of unsafe abortions would skyrocket, and more deaths of mothers would occur because instead of safe, sterile tools, the abortions would be performed with a coat hanger. With legalized abortions, the abortion clinics are regulated by the government, and must meet the standards that are put forth.

Oh, and if you are watching this, tub, I am not a democrat nor am I a republican. I am a libertarian, I believe that freedom is sacred, and in my opinion, more sacred than any god, including my own.
