This is how I connect myself to my new CPAP at bedtime. I have to do this every time it's time to go to sleep, or even if I just want to take a short nap. Yes, I do miss the ability to just freely flop down on my bed & rest my head on the pillow, but this is something I have to accept.

If you experience daytime sleepiness, gasping for air at night, depression or irribility, or if your partner (If applicable) notices you pause during breathing while sleeping, SEE YOUR DOCTOR! These are classic signs of sleep apnea! So sleep tight, & sweet dreams to all!

  • Thanks Angie for sharing this with us! I also have sleep apnea and just started using my CPAP machine with a humidifier about 5 weeks ago. I am trying my third mask which seems to not leak air. I hope and pray that we both get used to this. It is not easy, but I feel sure we will feel much better soon. I was totally shocked to discover that I have sleep apnea, but at least now I know why I have always felt so exhausted when I wake up.

Love and many blessings from Linda & Geronimo

  • @birdlady423 Ahh my dearest Linda, you're most welcome. I'm getting mor used to my CPAP. My only frustration is waking up in the middle of the night due to air leaks in the mask. Plus I had to patch up a pinhole-size puncture in the air hose (Probably punctured by a cat's claw). Let me know if you need additional moral support, & I'm glad you're starting to see a positive effect. Love you & Geronimo lots!!!

    Lots of love & hugs,

    Angie

  • @cutseypoo777 You are so appreciated Angie for all your encouraging words. My first mask was more comfortable, but leaked air. I am hoping to get a fourth one (petite) that is very soft with no leaks. I will keep trying until everything is just right. Hopefully, after we work things out, we will be able to encourage others. I believe the end result will be feeling much better.

Much love to you from Linda

ps. I hope Geronimo doesn't decide that my CPAP is a toy. LOL

  • @birdlady423 Indeed, my precious gem. After all, comfort is a very important key factor of a restful sleep, & our CPAP machines should provide the utmost comforts while delivering the pressurized air that helps keep our airways open. Those air leaks can be annoying. I hope you continue to see an overall improvement, sis! Much love to you & Geronimo always! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo♥♥♥♥♥

  • God love you Angie.....having to do this every time you want to sleep. Hopefully the benefits will outweigh the negatives. You need this my lovley friend and should feel better thoughout the day. Love and prayers. ♥

  • @weeyin1155 Ahh my dearest Jan, I'm trying to look at the advantages versus the disadvantages of my CPAP, & am slowly getting used to "strapping" myself to my machine every time I want to go to sleep. I'm sure in time, I'll start to notice a difference in the quality of my life!

    Lots of love & hugs,

    Angie
