  • the real question is what's real? since i believe there's no objective basis for reality - only a subjective one - we each approach life with an amalgam of values and experiences that color our view of life and those around us. what one may see as a hateful homophobe deserving scorn - may be a self-hating gay brother in need of help. ripping off a bandage and telling all that the festering wound is disgusting - does little to help it heal. for love doesn't accuse - it seeks to understand

  • @doughboy1547 Reality is what takes place all around us things we have no control over. Things that take place because of the actions of others and peoples most inner feelings. Also your right telling others that a festering wound is pointless however if we speak up before it becaomes infected and starts to fester we have eliminated the need to complain of how disgusting it is. You ignore the wound right off the bat then thats just proof of no commen sense. To ignore is to be in denial of truth

  • @doughboy1547 Human beings so often split things up into millions of different lables that we must dig threw all the crap to find the orginal. "hateful homophobe" "Self-Hating Gay Brother" both lables by people who see things differently However those labels are irrelevent when it comes to the fact that its there its real PAY ATTENTION TO IT and stop acting as though there is no problem. The concern is not about labeling the issue something human beings love to do its about dealing with it.

  • Every one is allowed to have thier opinion.....Dont change who you are for anyone....I like you for who you are....

  • I've been told I am a cynic. I will share with you the definition of a cynic one of my professors gave me. "A cynic is a profoundly disappointed optimist." You are a good guy. Parts of life suck and it is OK to talk about the bad, as well as the good.

    Excellent video.

  • Empathy. I think that says it all.

  • Thomas, many people don't want to take reality for what it is. Just keep telling the truth as you have been. Peace out.

  • @silentfades I loved that show! I used to watch it before I left the house to go to grade school.

  • @silentfades That is really sad and a tragic loss of an icon. My thoughts to her family and friends. :(

  • Nicely said, as much as I hate his whoo-ee-hoo viewpoint, Richard Bach said it best with "There is no problem without a gift in its hands, we seek problems because we need their gifts". It is really through adversity and problems that we learn and grow as individuals. I have gotten through some really hard times by trying to find the gift in the problem, and have (I hope!) helped friends to try to see it this way. Anyhow, nice video and greatly appreciated.
