A historic former cinema in Risca has reopened its doors as an impressive new Library and Customer Service Centre having undergone a £2.25million transformation, thanks to funding partners which include Welsh Government funding through CyMAL, the body responsible for Museums, Archives, and Libraries in Wales.
The Risca Palace Cinema was one of the earliest establishments of its kind in Wales and its recent transformation has seen the building's historic façade retained, but the rest of the site is now a state of the art community facility offering a range of services under one roof.
The theme for the opening event was a 'Night at the Movies!'
