this set was really something spectacular. even though it was free, this was easily one of the best live performances i've ever seen

Sunday was a much better day though. I enjoyed the Red Arrows display and was glad I took a chance and went to see Patrick Wolf and Florence and the Machine who were completely unknown to me because they finished an otherwise fairly disappointing weekend spectacularly. Their music was great and I loved both their voices. Florence's energy was amazing too.
She sang this song on Jools Holland tonight so if you missed it you can see her on the full show on Friday.

I went to the festival on Saturday and headed for the stage at the marina first. I was hoping to see Pixie Lott but I missed her because she was on first (and earlier than I was told it started) and wanted to stick around for The Saturdays and Alesha Dixon but was driven away by the rap. I really enjoyed hearing Abbie Lammas' second set in Queen's Gardens though, and the band from Sierra Leone. I was also turned away from Ruby Turner because the venue was 'full'. Very disappointed that day.
