@archaedemos they are from russia.. they were defeated with the russian exspansion into siberia.. only some 70 years prior theyr ansestors had attacked moscow..so russians were nutralision a threat. . its been 500 years almost.. they are mongolians.. probably they would be happy to be part of mongolia but russia has higher incomes and better living. there isnt big tension between them and russians in the way there is between the caucascians, they dont do so much rape and terrorism. ok folk.

industrialization and urbanization were and are just inevitable unstoppable processes. ofer buriats move to the country from the city and they will just laugh at you. still, it's nice to see that traditional agriculture is back a bit. and once again, even in agriculture big industrial farms will prevail in the future over small ones only using natural resources for growth.
