John Prendergast, co-chair of the ENOUGH Project, discusses why asylum is an option for Uganda's rebel leader Joseph Kony. You can read a full report on the subject at http://www.enoughproject.org/reports/kony_20071029.php
And who's going to charge the Ugandan government with displacing every gay person and pushing for their imprisonment and/or murder? Of course the people are going to fear Kony if that's what their politicians are telling them they should. Would the actions Kony is charged with make more sense if he were sent to the U.S. military to fight in the middle east? This system we live in is shit and it's spreading world-wide. LRA has every right to resist.
