How can the IEA still argue that oil production will continue to rise until 2030? While it seems even more obvious Peak Oil will happen within the next 5 years, 2011 according to Chris Skrebowski. The IEA says that non-conventional oil (e.g. tar sands) and other alternatives such as GTL will contribute (almost entirely) to the increase and compensate the stagnation/decline in conventional oil fields. But dont they see the current financial crisis will not let that happen?
