This show was originally broadcast on CBS in March 1959. It was part of the General Electric Theater series, hosted by Ronald Reagan. This was the last TV appearance of all three Marx brothers (although Groucho's appearance was uncredited due to his contractual arrangement with NBC). The plot involves Chico and Harpo stealing various items with the intention of building a police car in hopes to pull off a jewelry heist. In the original broadcast, there was no dialog throughout the show other than one line delivered by Groucho at the very end when he says "We won't talk until we see our lawyer."
The show was never released on video but an abbreviated version was released on 8mm film by Castle Films in the 1960s. This video was created from that 8mm film (sorry about the flicker) and the soundtrack was created using clips supplied by incompetech.com.
Hopefully some day the producers will release the entire 30 minute version with the original soundtrack, but until then, this video will have to fill the void. Enjoy!

Thanks for posting!!!, this was the only Marx Brothers 'film' I hadn't seen. isn't Groucho supposed to say something at the end like 'We're not talking until we see our lawyer'?

Yes, that is the only words spoken in the entire original show. But since this video was captured from an old 8mm film, there was no audio at all. I added the music but avoided the temptation to add a Groucho impersonation speaking his line.

I watched this: the ending was hilarious!!! Saw it with my uncle Fred on Sunday night back in 1959, after Ed Sullivan.

They did have a feature fim in the late 1950s (sort of). It's called "The Story of Mankind." It is not usually considered part of the Marx Brothers canon, however, because they only appear in one scene each, and therefore do not interact with one another. Groucho, Harpo, and Chico naturally, because Zeppo left in the 30s

Interesting to see the boys in a 1950s setting.

They are still funny, charming, and command your attention.

I think had they done a feature film in the late 1950s,

they would have pulled it off.

ZACH613 -- Like several people here, I don't have the show on DVD. Just on VHS. I recommend contacting palparknj, who recently said in a post that he finally got the complete show. This might have been through a contact I supplied.
