The House debates H.Res. 982, which provides for the adoption of H.Res. 979, recommending that the House of Representatives find Harriet Miers, former White House Counsel, and Joshua Bolten, the White House Chief of Staff, in contempt of Congress for refusal to comply with subpoenas issued by the Judiciary Committee. These subpoenas were issued as part of the Committee's investigation into the firings of a number of United States Attorneys and matters concerning the politicization of the Justice Department. This resolution also provides for adoption of H.Res. 980 - Authorizing the Committee on the Judiciary to initiate or intervene in judicial proceedings to enforce certain subpoenas. Rep. John Yarmuth speaks in favor.

Did I just hear Congressman Yarmuth say that he wasn't elected because of the War? Wow, considering that nearly every single Yarmuth ad in 2006 was about Anne Northup and her support of the War,... that for some reason doesn't add up to me.
If I hear right, the people of the house are talking over Congressman Yarmuth, haha! He sounds like a little nat. Reminds me of Ron Paul in the Republican Primary.

So will the house now do their jobs, protect and uphold the Constitution? Or is this just more rhetoric that will go away in a couple of days
