He was well-known in the Israeli society and was involved in commercial projects.He provided the Egyptian intelligence service with important information like the Six-Day War and he had an important role in the Yom Kippur War by providing Egypt with detailed engineering data about the Bar Lev Line.He made friendships with Golda Meir Israel's prime minister at that time and Moshe Dayan the minister of defence. El-Hagan is considered a national hero in Egypt

(1) إذا كان رفعت الجمال فعلا جاسوساً مزدوجاً فلماذا تركوه يذهب الى ألمانيا على الرغم من ادعائهم بأنهم هددوه أما بالسجن أو العمل لديهم ؟

لو كان الهجان عميلاً مزدوجاً, فلماذا ظل فى إسرائيل؟…لماذا لم ينتقل للإقامه فى مصر أو فى إحدى

الدول العربيه ؟..كيف يكون عميلا للموساد وهو يعيش فى إسرائيل ؟ ولو كانوا قد جندوا الهجان و حقـقـوا معه و اعترف, ألم يسجلوا اعترافاته فى فيلم أو شريط فيديو ؟…لماذا لا يقدمون مثل هذه الوثائـق الحيه للرأى العام الإسرائيلى, ليحسموا الأمر.

And do you really think his wife would say he was a double agent? His wife probably didn't even know at all.

Israel is a state established on lies and religious mythes. so do you want me to believe a word from their media ? if he was a double agent, his wife would never come to Egypt to show us how much he was an Egyptian hero, as long as you know arabic you can search for that episode and watch it.
