Shake down and testing, part 2. The FIST Racing 2.3 stroker got it's second round of upgrades and the mad scientist managed to button her up just before this event. New noteworthy pieces under the hood are a FP 20G, FP4R cams, and fuel delivery system. But the real magic comes from our new sponsor, ECMLink. V3 of DSMLink is now the brains on board and we've made the switch to speed density. It's got to be illegal to make power that feels this good. One more shout out to Chris, the tuning wiz, and Secret Service for pulling those late nights.
Little info about this lap. Leading up to the session I was working with badly fading brake pads on Sat. Unfortunately the pads only lasted during my installation and reconnaissance laps of this new track. Sunday we swapped out to a set of street pads with a fluid change, but this was not enough to compensate for the speeds this new package produced. Coupled with mix matched worn Rcomps, I was estatic to string together a few 1.29-1.30 laps. Can't wait to make it back to TWS with fresh consumables to get some comparitive data...and hopefully attain my TT license. Till next time.
