Operation Ivy (1953)
This is an old Civil Defense film that recalls the first Hydrogen Bomb test in late 1952. When I posted this film last year, it had some missing parts, but now it's complete. This part will be replaced with a new part 1 soon. Until then, go to "Old part 2" for a missing minute or so.
Make sure you watch part 4 also, as it shows the enormous destructive power this H-Bomb would have had on a city, and how silly it is to talk about a "winnable Atomic War."
This film is in the Public Domain and is available for download at the Internet Archive at the link below, though it is currently the old version, not this one in which I have fixed several problems which that version still has.
I fixed the audio sync problems wherever it was noticeable and have boosted the sound levels. Also, I brightened and color corrected the film wherever I could. I hope to re-submit this version to the Internet Archive soon.
The film is in 4 parts now, this is the missing part 3 that I found a few weeks ago and have just now finished sound re-syncing and picture brightening. (Old part 1 of 3)

creepy... nice upload....it would be interesting if the classified bits could be added back in to see what the government deemed "sensitive" at the time.
