While going through some old magazines, I have found the information about movie 'Tipu Sultan', article says it was a 1977 movie and music director was not Master Inayat but Akhtar Hussain Akhiyan. Can anyone confirm it? (Jimmy are you there?)

Master Sahab ki aik khoobi ye bhi thi kay wo singer ki limitations ko zehn mein rakhtay thay.. Iqbal bano say teesra antra ada nahi ho raha tha .. hum bhi hain wohi tum bhi ho wohi .. jab wo pahunchti YE APNI APNI QISMAT HAYYYYY to awaz reh jati. Master sahab nay unko kaha zara aik minute baat sunein.. Studio kay side room mein lay gayay.. kuch dair baas wapas aa kar Bano Aapa nay take karaya aur song OK tha :-)

Ji haan Dr. Saab, sahi pehchaana, As the video of 'Tipu Sultan' is not available, I have used the video from 'Pehli Nazar'. Mohammad Ali aur Master Inayat Dono filmon mein common hai, albata ye song 'Roohi Bano' per picturise huwa hai shayad, I have saw 'Tipu Sultan' when I was in primary school. :-)) Gaana kesa laga aapko, yeh to bataaya hi nahin. :(

Master sahib was great but buhet wahmi never satifide &he spend lots of time to complete the film thats why he left anarkali & Rashid attre complete this film,& if you guys notice master never used raag pahari because he think what ever you make in this raag must be hit he allways go for hard choice thats why financially no good his life but his work always remambered.

aray main ne abhi notice kiya ke tum ne music per 'master inayet hussain' ka naam diya hai....akhtar hussain ko achha naheen lagay ga.....if in doubt sometimes, no harm to drop me a line....

yes inaam, its akhtar hussain's composition. and of course this song was picturised on roohi bano, who realy couldn't do justice with this outstanding composition and singing...she was a slow actoress and this clssical song was given to dance....that was silly.....i think i got it somewhere in dusty video cassette, will try to dig out...

Master nay unko kaha tha kay thoRa rest karlijay aur zara gala saaf kar lijay.. Coke mein thoRi Whisky milai gai thi unko batayay baghair ..batatay to wo studio kya film industry hi chhoR jatien :-) thoRa rest karnay tak whisky kaam dikha chuki thi, bila jhijhak ga diya Iqbal Bano nay .. Master Sahab ki wafaat kay kafi baad ye baat Iqbal Bano ko batai gai thi aur unhoo nay koi comment na kiya sirf aabdeeda ho gaien.
